Christmas & Food Poisoning Had a good Christmas, except for eating something "off" a few days prior and therefore ending up on the floor shivering and desperately waiting for the next round of throwing up. But I managed to recover by Christmas, if slightly shaky. Okay, in thinking about it, that part kind of sucked. Presents? Meh. Presents no longer thrill me. I never understood the whole "giving is the best part of Christmas" meme when I was a kid, but now I'm beginning to get it. In reality, anything material that I want I would probably have bought for myself already. No, the target demographic for Christmas has to be young children. If there's anything better than buying presents for young kids, I don't know what it is. $10 for some plastic gimgaw that will thrill a child for a year, or, barring that, comes in a box that can entertain the child for days? That's money well spent! Happy Christmas anyways, everyone.
